Neil Barnes, 62, grew up in north London.  After several years DJing, he co-formed Leftfield with Paul Daley in 1989. 

Their albums Leftism and Rhythm and Stealth helped soundtrack the 1990s.  Several Leftfield tracks featured in movies such as Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, and The Beach
