Ever since we first identified the bones of dinosaurs, those creatures have captured our imagination like nothing else. With or without feathers, they are terrifying, writes Ronan Jennings.

Capcom has added another feather to its cap with the release of Monster Hunter World, a series that revolves around hunting dinosaur-like creatures and their dragon relatives. Not only is this the first Monster Hunter game on current-generation consoles, but it has already shipped over 5m copies in the first few weeks of release.
