Watch Ben Affleck question the entire storyline of Armageddon in incredible honest commentary

He does make sense.

The 1998 smash hit movie Armageddon may not be the most high-brow of films, but it’s an entertaining romp all the same.

The action/sci-fi film starred Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler as well an all-star ensemble cast and was the highest grossing film of that year.

Its plot is fairly simply to follow, with an asteroid on it’s way to destroy all human life Nasa turn to the world’s best oil drillers to dig a hole 800m into the asteroid. After that they’ll drop a nuclear warhead into the hole and blow up the asteroid from the inside, thus saving us all.

However, in the DVD’s commentary one of the film’s stars wasted no time in pointing out the film’s biggest plot hole.

Affleck asks how is it easier to train oil drillers to astronauts than training astronauts to be oil drillers?

When Affleck put the question to the movie’s director Michael Bay he was given a responding, “f**k off”.

The footage of Affleck’s commentary has been hugely shared since it was posted on Tuesday.

To be fair, he had more than a point.

We are still going to watch it next time it’s on though!
