PIC: Belgian TV drapes Ireland in Union Jack

Tut, tut, tut.

The graphic designer on Belgium TV’s coverage of the Champions League maybe in need of a quick geography lesson.

Clare man Damien Keane was watching the build-up to the opening leg of Manchester United’s tie with Belgium side Club Brugge, when he spotted a large error on screen.

A graphic appeared on screen depicting Ireland covered in the Union Jack of Great Britain.

One does wonder how the Belgians would feel had Irish TV covered a map of their country with the Dutch flag.

Man United went on to win the game
