American Youtuber TheBackyardScientist loves doing cool science experiments in his, er, backyard, and his latest effort is worth a watch.

TheBackyardScientist has been uploading video for the last couple of years and decided this week’s clip would answer the "eternal" question about what would happen if molten aluminium was poured into a watermelon.

Now, if you are expecting an explosion, you may be disappointed, but the final result is rather cool.

For those curious about it, the boiling point of aluminium is about 2,519°C - so it goes without saying don’t try this at home!
