VIDEO: Woman runs red light and leaps across raised, open bridge

The bridge in Tisno, Croatia was reportedly raised two-and-a-half metres when the woman made the jump.

This woman reportedly missed a red light at this bridge connecting the town of Tisno in Croatia with an island so instead of waiting patiently, she decided to just go for it.

The incident - caught on CCTV - gave the locals a bit of a fright. Bridge worker Tomo Mejić Sidić told Sibenik IN what happened:

“Despite the red light being on she passed the ramp as I made a gesture and shouted at her to stop. She hit the gas and made the jump over the bridge, which was raised at least two and a half metres."

"I could not believe she made it, she then stopped and went for a coffee."

The driver of the dinky yellow Peugeot also had a passenger in the car at the time.
