Man walks out of toilet, meets armed police, realises restaurant's been robbed

So John Benson got a fright after his burger - he walked out of the toilet to see the place swarming with police after an armed raid. He'd only been in there 10 minutes.

Police were called after a man wearing a balaclava and brandishing a handgun burst into the McDonald’s in Eastgate, Peterborough in England, on Monday.

Afterwards, self-employed electrical contractor Jon Benson described how he missed the drama but emerged from the toilet to find the restaurant deserted.
