Disco the parakeet blows cover in 'I used to be a spy' confession

Disco the parakeet lives in western New York and will be four in May. And, shockingly, he used to be a spy.

The brilliant plumage and cute little chirrips are just a cover - in this footage, Disco the parakeet reveals his true nature.

You know how it goes - once he starts to confess, the words won't stop. We have it from his own beak - Disco used to be a spy.

Disco's cover saw him create an elaborate online identity. He's on Facebook, Twitter and has his own YouTube channel, with 150 videos, and counting.

We believe they call that 'hiding in plain sight'. The spies, like.

For our money, this is on a par with the unmasking of Evelyn Salt.

In a way, we all allowed this to happen.

We guess Disco is on the wing now, and is definitely a flight risk…
