Oxegen to return this summer: Calvin Harris first act confirmed

MCD have announced Oxegen will return this summer, ending months of speculation about the festival's future.

However it takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend in Punchestown, instead of its usual run in July.

The festival is also being scaled down this year from a capacity of 80,000 to 50,000 people.

While the line up will be announced on Monday morning, Calvin Harris has confirmed on his website that he will be taking to the stage on Aug 3.

Early bird tickets go on sale next week.
