Adele 'truly devastated' at gig cancellations

Adele has said she is "truly devastated" at being forced to cancel a tour of the US because of problems with her throat.

The singer said she had no choice but to scrap the 10-date tour which was due to kick off on Friday in Atlantic City, as it would risk permanent damage to her voice.
