Geordie accent 'scuppers Cheryl's US chances'

Cheryl Cole has lost out on being a judge on the US ‘X Factor’ because of her British accent.

The Newcastle-born beauty has flown to Los Angeles to discuss her role in the US version with TV bosses, but is reported to have been dropped from plans because she is not famous enough Stateside.
