Keating wants Boyzone week on ‘X Factor’

Ronan Keating has said he would “love” to return to 'The X Factor' – on which Boyzone manager Louis Walsh is a judge and where they performed in last year’s final – because it would be a fitting tribute to their late bandmate Stephen Gately.

When asked about the possibility of guesting on the show, Ronan said: "There's a couple of weeks to go and we'll see. If it's done right, and it's the right thing, we'd absolutely love to do it. It's just how we will do it."

Following Stephen’s death last month, Louis missed two results shows and one performance show grieving for his friend.

Speaking afterwards, he said the programme was helping him to get over the star’s passing.

Louis said: I love ‘The X Factor’ - it's the best job in the world. I'm so glad I've got it right now as Stephen's death still hasn't sunk in and it's helping me cope.

“I like talking to my acts, it's an escape."
