Paris Hilton's piggy purchase has put her in line for criticism from animal rights activists.

Last week, the socialite wrote about buying a five-week-old miniature pig for US$4,500 (€3,023) on social networking site Twitter, it being the latest in the hotel heiress’s growing menagerie.
