Efron to take a break from fame

Zac Efron is planning a break from Hollywood - because his meteoric rise to stardom has left him craving some time away from the limelight.

The 'High School Musical' star was catapulted into the A-list when he landed the the role of Troy in the hit Disney franchise, which turned him into one of Tinseltown's top heart-throbs.

But despite becoming one of Hollywood's most in demand stars, the young actor will shy away from big screen projects over the summer - because fame and fortune have left him feeling out of touch with reality.

He said: "(I've) gotta regroup because this is all fun and kind of crazy, but it doesn't make you feel like a real person.

"So it's nice to take some time off and remember what your life's about."
