Parker eyes period drama role

'Sex And The City' actress Sarah Jessica Parker is turning her back on ultra-modern fashion - she is eyeing a part in an elaborate period drama.

The 44-year-old played style icon Carrie Bradshaw in the hit show from 1998 until 2004, and later reprised the role for the 2008 movie.
