Katy Perry has denied reports that she and Rihanna are best friends, insisting she has only "hung out" with her fellow pop sensation twice.

Newspapers reported that the pair had become inseparable following Rihanna's alleged bust-up with Chris Brown in February, that reportedly left her battered and bruised.
