'Fast & Furious' wins box-office race with huge opening haul

'Fast & Furious' raced to the top of the US box-office chart scooping a staggering $72.5m (€53.8m) in its opening weekend.

After skipping sequels '2 Fast 2 Furious' and 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift', Vin Diesel returned to the franchise for the fourth installment, and proved to be the magic ingredient.
