'Marley & Me' tops US Xmas box office

Jennifer Aniston's new family film 'Marley & Me' has fought off the Christmas Day competition at the U.S. box-office, earning the highest one-day total ever for a film opening on the holiday at $14.6m (€10.25m).

The movie, co-starring Owen Wilson, beat out Brad Pitt's drama 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', which took in $11.6m (€8.13m) on its opening day, and secured the second-highest Christmas opening to date.
