Streep refuses to campaign for awards

Meryl Streep wants to outlaw the practise of campaigning for big awards, because she hates the idea of seeing the star with the best ad grabbing the top prize.

The two-time Oscar winner is entering the winter awards season a hot favourite for several top acting prizes, for her role in 'Doubt'.
