McCartney denies stealing song

Paul McCartney's band The Fireman has brushed off claims they copied a song by Blind Willie Johnson, insisting that the blues star's track was merely used as "inspiration" for their own work.

McCartney and collaborator Youth have been accused of stealing elements of Johnson's 'Let Your Light Shine On Me' for their new song 'Light From Your Lighthouse', off their latest album 'Electric Arguments'.
