Aguilera stands up for gay rights

Singer Christina Aguilera is standing up for gay rights - insisting homosexual couples should be given the freedom to marry.

Same-sex marriages were legalised in California in May, but the legislation was reversed last week when the majority of voters backed Proposition 8, a bill to reintroduce the ban.
