Cage claims number one with action film

Nicolas Cage's new action movie 'Bangkok Dangerous' has debuted at the top of the US box office with a meagre $7.8m (€5.4m) opening weekend take.

The remake of a 1999 Asian cult hit ended war comedy 'Tropic Thunder's' reign on the top of America's movie charts.

Ben Stiller's film slipped into second place in its fourth week on release with $7.5m (€5.2m).

Anna Faris' comedy 'The House Bunny' rounds out the new top three.
