Veteran crooner Neil Diamond is desperate to land a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame - because he thinks he has 'paid his dues' to the music industry.

The 'Sweet Caroline' singer is keen to be awarded the prestigious recognition - which Madonna was inducted into in New York in March - because he has been considered by the judges for nearly 20 years.
