Doherty 'too high' to remember gigs

British rocker Pete Doherty cannot remember disappointing thousands of his fans by failing to turn up to gigs - because he was too high on drugs.

The Babyshambles frontman blames his drug addiction for his no shows at a string of concerts over the past 18 months - and has apologised to his loyal fans.
