Soul legend Lionel Richie has poked fun at celebrities who check into rehab, even though his own daughter, Nicole, once sought counselling at one California facility.

The Hello singer maintains Nicole needed help but too many stars simply seek out rehab stays because it has become a new Hollywood trend.
