New PlayStation 3 console to go on sale at midnight

Queues are beginning to form outside gaming stores in the UK and Ireland where the new PlayStation 3 console is due to go on sale at midnight.

The sale of the long-awaited machine has already been delayed by four months.

The console costs at least €630, but has a built-in player for Blue-ray discs which will replace DVDs.
