Murphy enrages rights activists in US

Eddie Murphy's role as an overweight black woman in a new film has enraged Afro-American rights groups across the US.

The actor plays a variety of parts in forthcoming movie Norbit, but his turn as an overweight black lady has been criticised by activists for perpetuating the stereotype of large women in the black community.
