Jessica Simpson is helping to further reports she's romancing John Mayer by planning to record a film duet with the blues singer/songwriter.

Simpson and Mayer have repeatedly shot down reports they're dating but were recently photographed dining out together, and now the pop star wants to get Mayer in the studio.
