Gibson criticises 'selective' historians

Actor-turned-director Mel Gibson has blasted European historians for their "selective" portrait of the past.

The star, whose new movie Apocalypto charts the fall of the central American Mayan empire in the ninth century, has criticised historians for ignoring the story of the world before colonisation began.
