McCartney patents himself

Paul McCartney is to patent his famous name, allowing the former Beatle to lend his name to official 'McCartney' products that "he approves of".

The multi-millionaire is in the process of registering his name as a trademark, after his company MPL Communications lodged an application with the trademarks registry in London.
