Richie and daughter team up

Lionel Richie has kept things close to home for his latest music video - he has cast daughter Nicole in the lead role.

The Simple Life star has been spotted on the Beverly Hills set of the promo for I Call It Love, relaxing with her pet Pomeranian pooch Foxxy and a hunky co-star, who plays her love interest in the promo.

Richie also reveals she is planning to follow in rival Paris Hilton's footsteps and launch her own singing career - and has already written six tracks for her debut album.

She says: "Right now I'm just writing and recording. The way that a record goes, you sing up to 20 or 30 songs and then pick your favourite 10. I'm about six songs in."
