McCourt memoirs set for new film

The school-teaching memoirs of Frank McCourt will be adapted for the screen by Oscar-winning Ron 'Rainman' Bass.

McCourt won the Pulitzer Prize for his harrowing tale of growing up in Limerick, Angela's Ashes, which was filmed in 1999.
