Lennon letter sells for €18,000

An angry letter John Lennon sent a journalist who accused the former Beatle of ripping off black music has been sold at auction in London for £12,000 (€17,600).

In the letter, Lennon argued: "Many kids were turned on to black music by us. It wasn't a rip-off, it was a love-in."
