Gibson epic hit by storms

The set of Mel Gibson's latest movie epic Apocalypto has been hit by South American storms, prompting studio bosses at Disney to scrap plans for a summer release.

The film, which follows the journey of a Mayan hero on the run through the rainforests of Mexico, was set to be released around the world in August, but now it will hit cinemas at Christmas.
