Bean interested in Corrie role

Joining the ranks of Peter Kay and Ian McKellen, there’s another famous face who has ambitions to walk down the Coronation Street cobbles.

Sean Bean has revealed he would like to star in the ITV soap... but doesn’t have a big role in mind.

He told The Daily Express: “I don’t get to watch much TV but I do like Coronation Street.”

Asked who he would like to play he said: “Oh, I don’t know... the milkman?”

Looks like Corrie bosses are keen too. A spokesperson said: “That is fantastic. Sean is a good, solid Northern actor and would be brilliant.”
