Winfrey and Letterman end 16-year feud

Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey has agreed to appear on the David Letterman show in the US, ending a 16-year feud between the two stars.

The appearance will coincide with the opening night of Broadway musical The Colour Purple, which she is producing.
