Stefani chooses Pharrell over husband

Gwen Stefani has snubbed her husband Gavin Rossdale so she can spend time recording with hip-hop star Pharrell Williams.

The Cool singer, who has been relentlessly promoting her debut solo album Love Angel Music Baby, booked 10 days off to spend with her rock-star lover, but changed her mind when Williams made her a better offer.

She now intends to spend the time in a studio with the Frontin' hitmaker creating follow up LP Love Angel Music Baby Part II.

She says of Williams' offer: "I was like: 'Wow, that's very ambitious! On the one break that I might have to hang out with Gavin, to hang out with you for 10 days and write songs again?'

"But it's such an opportunity to work with him, so I did it."
