Eastwood fights off ageism

Veteran actor/director Clint Eastwood is determined to keep on working and refuses to let old age hold him back from further movie ventures.

The 74-year-old Dirty Harry star considers his mature years as a time to improve on his talents, not let them turn to rot.

He says: "I don't feel like I'm any age. Somebody says, 'You're 74, for Christ's sake!' Yeah so what?

"I feel I can still go out and run a few miles. I can do a lot of stuff.

"A lot of directors weren't doing anything in their 70s but I think you just got to keep expanding, keep growing. You got to keep getting better.

"I don't want to decay, I want to progress. I want to be better. I want to be worldly, I want to be smarter.

"I guess that's why I keep working."
