Irons stars in classic TV drama

Few TV series can claim to have launched so many careers, but Brideshead Revisited (Granada) was one such, a sumptuous series based on Evelyn Waugh’s book, with an adaptation by John Mortimer.

This tale of upper-class life in pre-World War 2 Britain introduced Jeremy Irons, Anthony Andrews and Diana Quick, in a cast led by Laurence Olivier and John Gielgud.
