Madonna's friends feared for the superstar's life when she fell off her horse and lost consciousness after landing on ground "as hard as concrete" in her riding accident on Tuesday.

The Material Girl, who was celebrating her 47th birthday, was briefly knocked out by the impact and lay motionless as panicking friends rushed to her aid at her estate in rural England.
