Jack White rocked by period of 'hate'

The White Stripes star Jack White has only just recovered from a devastating period which saw him inspire "hatred" in the people he thought were his friends.

The rocker blames himself for staying in Detroit, Michigan after rocketing to fame in 1999, insisting he should have moved, to avoid inspiring jealousy in his former pals.
