Springsteen leaves 'mother' songs to country stars

American rocker Bruce Springsteen is wary of dedicating songs to his mother because only country singers can do it properly.

The Philadelphia star insists while rock stars are wise to steer clear of "mother singing", it is a mandatory requirement for country singers, as no one else does it quite as well - or as often.
