No old dogs in crime drama

Crime series are a dime a dozen, but New Tricks: Series 1 (BBC) is a cracking good one.

Dennis Waterman, James Bolam and Alun Armstrong are the three former sleuths hired by Superintendent Sandra Pullman (Amanda Redman) to solve a bunch of unsolved crimes, and they set about the task in a very unconventional, but arresting way — for the viewer that is!
