Afghanistan Documentary a teen triumph

Joy of Madness (Tartan) is both a behind the scenes look at Samira Makhmalbaf’s making of At Five in the Afternoon (reviewed here some months ago) and an engaging examination of family life in Afghanistan.

Remarkably this film was made by her sister, Hana, at the age of 14, which gives you some idea of the talent in this family. A very interesting work.
