Potential Paris theft charges dismissed

Theft charges against Paris Hilton have been dropped after the Los Angeles District Attorney's office decided it was not "in the interest of justice" to prosecute the hotel heiress for stealing one of her own sex tapes.

Authorities in Los Angeles were readying themselves for a court battle with Hilton after witnessing the Simple Life star swipe a One Night in Paris DVD she spotted for sale at a newsstand.
