Farrell wasn't Stone's first choice for Alexander

Interesting to discover that director Oliver Stone wasn't initially keen on having Irish hell-raiser Colin Farrell play Alexander in the soon-to-be-released historic blockbuster about the life and gay times of the military hero who conquered the known world.

Seems Stone, whose film has been panned by most of the critics, felt that Farrell didn't have the star power to carry the film, even though the Dubliner seemed to have been in every other film during 2004.
