Director Martin Scorsese is hoping to return to making movies on a smaller budget with "name stars" after his multi-million dollar latest film The Aviator.

Although the film-maker, aged 62, concedes working with top billing actors on less epic projects affects the film's financial costs - he believes the essence of the flick still remains the same.
