Zellweger admits fears for Bridget accent

American actress Renee Zellweger was petrified she wouldn't be able to master her celebrated British accent in the sequel of her hit movie Bridget Jones' Diary.

The blonde beauty depended on a 24-hour voice coach to ensure her 'Sloaney' voice didn't disappoint fans in romantic comedy Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, co-starring actors Hugh Grant and Colin Firth.

She says: "I had the voice coach there every day saying: 'No, that was too precise. Slushier. Slushier,' because Bridget has this kind of lisp thing she does.

"The dialect, boy, that I had to pay a lot of attention to. It was like starting over again. I was more terrified of it because it was something that evolved and it became very colloquial in a very specific way last time. There was just a lot to pay attention to, but let me say I had a lot of help."
