Kutcher a success in rare drama role

The Butterfly Effect is the story of Evan Treborn (Ashton Kutcher) and his battle to come to terms with his abusive childhood.

His father was committed to a mental home and later tried to kill him; he was sexually abused by the father of his two best friends; and had another friend who was going slowly insane because of a prank that went badly wrong.
