Theron and Rush to miss Oscars

Oscar winner Charlize Theron won't get the chance to defend her Academy Award next year, because her new movie is being premiered on American television.

Broadcasting giants HBO, who own the rights to The Life and Death of Peter Sellers - which stars Geoffrey Rush as the British comedy legend - have decided to screen the film on TV first, making it ineligible for the awards.
